SHELLFISH LICENSES
Shellfish Licenses are available in the Board of Selectmen’s Office during regular business hours.

During the summer months, they are sold at the front desk of The Edgartown Town Hall from
10:00am – 1:00pm and 2:00pm – 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Annual shellfish licenses run from
April 1st to March 31st. Residents must be on the tax rolls or the annual census list. A resident license
is $50 for those residents under 60 years of age. They are free to those residents 60 or over. Non-resident
annual licenses are available for $250.

A weekly license is also available for $50. This entitles the purchaser and their family to go out once
in a seven-day window and get a limit of shellfish. This license does not apply to scallops. An annual
license is required to fish for scallops during the season.

MOORINGS
The season runs from Memorial Day Weekend through the end of the Fishing Derby in October.
